Vallin, Jacques Antoine

   Painter, draughtsman, and portraitist. Vallin entered the school of the French Academy where he was taught by Drevet, Doyen, and Renou. A number of his paintings depict sexual figures from the mythology of the Ancient world, such as "Venus and Cupid."
